Problem:
A large research university decided to implement a new organizational structure organized around academic excellence units and academic programs, rather than traditional departments with course-based ownership
- Served as consulting partner responsible for overall project planning and delivery.
- Assembled and led a cross-functional team covering research, teaching, infrastructure, IT, finance, and HR, and established a PMO to oversee and coordinate organization-wide change implementation.
- Led regular PMO governance meetings with client management to review transformation progress, escalate issues, agree on solutions, and define next steps.
- The transformation was delivered over approximately 15 months under continuous senior oversight.
